A Review of Flirtation Walk by Siri Mitchell

This book was the fifth book that I have read by Siri Mitchell. I love her writing style and the regency time period that she has written in before. I had high expectations reading this book because I have enjoyed her previous books. This one was such a disappointment. It was a bore and I did not care for the characters. I did not like that Seth wanted to drop his grades and fail in the academy to join the cavalry. I thought it was so foolish and I was annoyed every time I read it, which was often. It seemed like every chapter about Seth was about him finding new ways to earn demerits. It was very boring. There wasn't much of a relationship between Seth and Lucinda. They only spent a few times together and we as readers were supposed to believe that they belonged together. It just seemed forced and the storyline was boring. There was no romance between the characters. The book was more about Seth trying to get into the cavalry to go after the swindler and Lucinda trying to live a better life. I didn't care much for Lucinda either. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this book because I found it boring and I really did not like it that Seth was trying to destroy his future.

I received this book for free from Bethany House Publishers for my honest review.
